This program has three arms
designed for youth in grades six through twelve. The first is education
which includes Sunday School classes, confirmation class for those in 6th
and 7th grades, and a spring retreat. The second arm is
service projects. These include playing Bingo at a home for the
mentally handicapped, cooking for the homeless, planning and presenting
a worship service for a senior citizen’s home, and making Easter baskets
for the church’s senior citizens. The youth group enjoys a variety of
social activities such as canoeing, horseback riding, fun parks, laser
tag, bowling, and white water rafting. Each year the youth are
responsible for the church service on the last Sunday of January, they
serve the Easter breakfast, and support the angel tree by wrapping the
gifts and going shopping for angels themselves. Several dinners are
held each year to raise funds for the program.
